Aida Saco-Beiroa

Aida Saco-Beiroa is a young Spanish pianist and composer lauded for her “extremely interesting musical personality and lively pianistic instinct”. She studied with the prestigious pianists Joseph M Colom and Tensy Krismant at the Liceu Conservatory (Barcelona), Bart van de Roer at Codarts-Rotterdam and Maurizio Moretti at the Schola Cantorum in Paris. In 2022 she was invited by Solomon Mikowsky to continue postgraduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, for which she was awarded a coveted Fulbright Scholarship.


Her musical projects have been presented in numerous concert halls and film festivals: FanCine de
Lemos 2018, 2019 and 2022 (Spain), Kalakari Film Fest 2021 (India), Osaka International Film
Festival 2021 (Japan). ), BUEIFF Festival 2021 (Argentina), T-Short Film Online Festival 2022,
RENUAC Festival 2022 (Chile) and FECI Bogotá 2022. Aida has published two albums:
“Metamorfoses” (2017) and “Ronseis do tempo” (2019) and her music has appeared on radio, theater
productions and commercials.


As a classical pianist, Aida has given numerous concerts and has been invited to participate in
festivals in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Poland (XIII Festiwal Urodzinowy Fryderyka Chopina, IKFEM,
Stagione Artística 2022 A.GI.MUS etc.). She is a winner of a 2020 Artistic Studies Scholarship from
the Deputation of A Coruña, a 2021 Excellence Scholarship from the Ferrer-Salat Foundation, a 2022
Master’s Scholarship from the Liceu Conservatory Foundation and a 2022 Ministry of Culture Fulbright
Scholarship. She has received awards in numerous piano competitions; among these the “Leonid Sintsev” Award 2019, 1st Prize at the IV Premi Ciutat de Mataró, 1st Prize and Special Prize at the 1st European Piano Competition “Salentinae Terrae”, 2nd Prize at the 10th Concorso Internazionale “Città di Massa”, 2nd Prize at the Munich Piano Competition 2021, 3rd prize at the XII Elisa de Sousa Award and 3rd Prize at the City of Seville International Piano Competition 2021.

Her compositional work was nominated for the V Martín Códax da Música Awards and selected semifinalist at the MIN 2020 awards. She was invited to be a member of the juries of the IX Fran Pérez “Narf” Contest for musical artists and of the Quero cantar 2018 Contest.


Currently, Aida is developing a new artistic project in New York City while maintaining her activity as an
enthusiastic educator and an accompanist pianist for the Jeffrey Milarky class at Columbia University
