Saverio Alfieri was born in Milan, Italy, and began his musical studies at the age of 6.
He attended the pre-college in Classical Piano at the Conservatorio “G.Verdi” in Milan with Silvia Limongelli. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Piano at the Conservatorio “A.Vivaldi” in Alessandria where he studied with Silvia Leggio. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree with the highest marks and honors.
He distinguished himself in the following competitions: second prize at the Torre Ratti International Piano Competition
(AL) in June 2013; third prize with merit at the 28th International Piano Competition City of Albenga in December 2015; second prize at the National Competition City of Avigliana in February 2019; second prize at the Crescendo International Competition in the city of Padua in 2017 and consequently to this victory he performed in the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York in February 2018.
In 2016 he was awarded the “Barisone” Scholarship as the best instrument student of the “A.Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria.
In 2019, he was awarded the “Ghislieri” prize as the best graduate student at the A.Vivaldi Conservatory.
He has participated in several concert festivals and lecture-concerts performing at the Circolo “Alessandro Volta” in Milan, at music high schools in Cernobbio (CO), Genoa, Bologna, for PianoCity he performed in Milan at the Liceo Classico Virgilio and in Monza at the Liceo Musicale Zucchi, in Palermo at the final concert of the best students of the Masterclass held by Silvia Leggio he performs for the prestigious Associazione Palermo Classica.
In 2019 he performed in the prestigious “Museidisera” review at the Vatican Museums.
In January 2014 he became a student member of the Enrico Caruso Museum Foundation in Milan.
He continues his studies by participating in several Masterclasses with prominent Masters such as Paul Magi, Giuseppe Andaloro, Olaf John Laneri, Epifanio Comis, Jeffrey Cohen, Beatrice Rana, Peter Winograd, Giovanni Bellucci, at the prestigious conservatory The Juilliard School in New York with Maestro Giuseppe Mentuccia and for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center with Maestro Arnoud Sussmann.
He attended seminars dedicated to the Piano Concertos given by Maestro Giovanni Bellucci at the Institute of Superior Musical Studies “Claudio Monteverdi” in Cremona.
In January 2020, he began conducting studies at the Italian Conducting Academy in Milan, led by Maestro Gilberto Serembe.
He is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Classical Piano at the Manhattan School of Music in New York under the guidance of Jeffrey Cohen.
