American soprano Gileann Tan obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from Vassar College and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, where her primary teachers included Connie Haas and Katherine Ciesinski.
An active and sought-after performer, Gileann has appeared as soloist with the Eastman Bach Cantata Series and the City Lyric Opera of New York City. She has been section lead in multiple choruses including Green’s Farms Church in Westport, Connecticut and the First Presbyterian Church of Stamford in Stamford, Connecticut. (since September 2022);
