
Classical guitarist Ahhyun Noh, currently studying at the Manhattan School of Music with David Leisner and a graduate of the Yale School of Music where she studied on a full scholarship with Benjamin Verdery, is recognized for her vivid sound and dynamic stage presence. Active as both a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, 92NY’s Kaufmann Concert Hall, Neidorff-Karpati Hall at the Manhattan School of Music, and the Yale Center for British Art, and has appeared at leading festivals across the United States, South Korea, and Thailand.
Her recent distinctions include being selected as the guitarist for the 2025 Manhattan School of Music Commencement Ceremony. A committed chamber musician, she is a three-time winner of the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition at MSM and won First Prize in Chamber Music at the Busan Maru International Music Festival. She has also received honors from the Korea International Guitar Festival and the International Music Competition of the Janacek Academy of Music in the Czech Republic.
Ahhyun has collaborated extensively with the Yale Guitar Ensemble, Tactus, and the Nova chamber music project at the Manhattan School of Music. She has also appeared as an invited artist at the Naru Art Center in Seoul and has presented duo and ensemble projects throughout New York and Korea, establishing herself as a versatile and expressive presence in the chamber music landscape.
