Riley Palmer

Riley Palmer is an educator, performer, and audio engineer based in New York City. Riley has taught private lessons, theory classes, and world music classes at institutions such as Mannes Prep, Parsons Prep, and the Bronx Conservatory of Music. As a versatile percussionist and drummer, Riley performers actively in chamber music groups, orchestras, musical theater pits, and various bands. As a percussionist he has premiered numerous works around the US, and at festivals such as Bang On A Can and the Atlantic Music Festival. His orchestral percussion practice has led him to perform in halls such as Alice Tully Hall, Washington D.C.’s Constitution Hall, and Detroit’s Orchestra Hall. Riley’s dance collaborations have included accompanying at Martha Graham Dance Company, Mark Morris Dance, Ballet Hispanico, and the University of Michigan Dance Dept. He completed his studies at the Eastman School of Music, the University of Michigan, and the Mannes School of Music.
