Currently, we offer private lessons in piano, strings (violin, viola, cello, and bass), guitar, percussion and voice. The minimum age to begin lessons is four years old. For voice, the minimum age for private instruction is 13 and subject to the approval of the vocal instructor (children's voices mature at varying rates).
As part of our emphasis on broad musical education, all students registered for private lessons also receive weekly classes in Music Theory or Group Percussion, per their choice.
Payment of tuition for the 15-week term is due in full at registration. A deferred payment plan is offered, by which students can pay 50% of the semester’s tuition in the 1st week and 50% in the 7th week of each semester. There is a $15 installment fee for this service per registration.
Tuition can be paid by personal check, money order, cash, major credit card, or Paypal.
Please make checks payable to: The Bronx Conservatory of Music.
Students may register at any time. Preregistration occurs on the week preceding the first week of the Fall and Spring semesters. A $25 registration fee is charged for each semester. If students enroll for the entire year at the beginning of the Fall semester, only one registration fee is charged for both semesters.
