About Us
The mission of the Bronx Conservatory of Music is to provide private music instruction of the highest quality to Bronx children and adults, in their own neighborhoods, at the lowest possible tuition; thereby making conservatory training accessible to all..
In fulfilling this mission, the school also seeks to develop audiences for fine music in the Bronx, and to contribute to the music culture of the Bronx.

Over 120 students are currently enrolled in the Bronx Conservatory.  Faculty members are graduates of the world’s leading conservatories and have extensive performing and teaching experience.  The Conservatory has particular strengths in piano, , classical guitar, strings (violin, viola, cello, bass), percussion and voice.

The Bronx Conservatory of Music has two locations.  Our main campus is located at Bronx Community College, W. 181st St. and University Avenue.  Lessons are held in Guggenheim Hall on Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm.

We have a satellite location at Holy Rosary School, 1500 Arnow Avenue.  Lessons are scheduled after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:30 pm until 6:30 pm.

The Bronx Conservatory of Music brings the gift of music to our Bronx community.  What makes us special is our teachers. They are graduates of the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music and the finest conservatories in Europe, the former Soviet Union—and throughout the world!  Bronx Conservatory of Music teachers are chosen not only for their achievement as performers, but also for their experience and abilities as teachers. The Bronx Conservatory of Music brings these teachers to families in the Bronx at tuition costs that are much lower than those of comparable music schools. We've been hailed as the "best kept secret in the Bronx".

The teaching goals of the Bronx Conservatory of Music are to promote personal growth through the understanding and enjoyment of music; to develop performance skills; and to provide valuable social outlets for self-expression for students of all ages, at all levels of music experience.

The program of the Bronx Conservatory of Music consists of individual music lessons, ranging from 30 minutes to an hour, in which each student receives one-on-one attention from the teacher. In addition to the weekly lesson, students who are at least seven years old are offered free music theory classes.  Student recitals are given throughout the year.

The Bronx Conservatory of Music engages in developing audiences for fine music throughout the Bronx. The school provides free and low-priced concerts featuring faculty and guests artists to Bronx communities in partnership with churches and educational institutions.
